HISTORY

1904	The company Founding Chairman introduces the first paper bag manufacturing equipment to Japan after returning from Europe and the United States.
1928	Toyo Seitai Co., Ltd. (now Totai Co., Ltd.) is established. Inception of a full-scale cellophane bag-making business.
1960	Established a factory in Numazu, Shizuoka for integrated manufacturing of packaging films.
1961	Constructed head office building in Ueno, Tokyo. Nagoya Sales Office (now Nagoya Branch) opened. 1961
1962	Osaka Branch opened.
1967	Kyushu Sales Office opened.
1976	Merged with Central Corporation and renamed company to Totai Co., Ltd.
1981	Established Totai America, Inc., a subsidiary in Los Angeles, California. 1981
1988	In Nambu-cho, Yamanashi, Fujikawa Factory opened.
1991	Fujikawa Factory phase two construction completed. Integrated manufacturing facilities are ready and put into operation.
1995	Fujikawa Factory phase three construction completed. Entrance into the Chinese market with wholly owned capital and established Totai Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. 1995 1995
2003	Shanghai Office (now Shanghai Branch) of Totai Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. opened.
2004	Japan Representative Office of Totai Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. opened.
2007	Fuji Plastics Co., Ltd. obtains ISO9001(Quality Management System) certification.
2010	Fujikawa Factory introduces VOC Recovery and Purification System to contribute to a significant reduction in the environmental impact and promote effective use of resources.
2015	Totai Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. obtains FSSC 22000 (Food Safety Management System) certification. Fujikawa Plant's slitting processing department was integrated, and Fuji Plastics Co., Ltd. completed a new plant in Fuji, Shizuoka Prefecture. 2015
2017	Fujikawa Factory obtains FSSC 22000 certification.
2018	Fuji Plastics Co., Ltd. obtains FSSC 22000 certification.
2019
2019	Totai America, Inc. relocated on Mariner Avenue in Torrance, California.
2022	New head office building completed. Vietnam Representative Office is opened in Ho Chi Minh. 2022
